Terms of Service

This is a summary of key terms for ease of reading. The full Terms of Service document governs all interactions and purchases on the Preemp platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Preemp platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the platform on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Intellectual Property (IP) and Ownership

Name Generation: The names generated by the Preemp AI belong to the user who commissioned the Project Brief. Preemp makes no claim of ownership over the resulting name ideas.
Proprietary Data: The verification data, risk scores, linguistic rationales, and full verification reports provided by Preemp (the "Proprietary Data") remain the sole property of Preemp Labs. Your purchase grants you a non-exclusive license to use this data for the purpose of evaluating and selecting a brand name.

3. Financial and Payment Terms

Explore (Free Trial): 14-day trial with 42 credits and limited features. No payment required.
Launch (One-Time Fee — $19 USD): A one-time fee for a single naming project. 100 credits with a 30-day expiry.
Studio Subscriptions (Recurring Monthly Fee): Studio Starter ($29/mo), Studio Growth ($49/mo), and Studio Pro ($79/mo) are recurring monthly subscriptions billed in advance, in U.S. Dollars.
Top-Up Credits (One-Time Fee): Optional credit packs (25, 50, 100, or 250 credits) can be purchased at any time. Top-ups follow your active plan's expiry and rollover rules.
Auto-Renewal: Studio subscriptions automatically renew each month unless canceled before the next billing cycle.

4. Limitation of Liability

Preemp provides trademark and legal pre-screening only. We are not a law firm.

No Legal Advice: The Proprietary Data, including "Risk Scores," does not constitute legal advice, opinion, or consultation.
Mandatory Due Diligence: You must consult with a qualified legal professional in your jurisdiction before filing a trademark application or committing to a brand name. Preemp is not liable for any financial, commercial, or legal loss resulting from the use of a name identified on our platform.

5. Refund and Cancellation Policy

By agreeing to these Terms, you acknowledge and accept the Action-Based Service Delivery model outlined in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Studio Subscriptions: Cancel anytime from Billing. Access continues through the paid period. Once a monthly cycle begins, that cycle is non-refundable except in the limited cases described in the Refund Policy (e.g. accidental renewal within 24 hours with no credits spent).
Launch & Top-Ups: Refundable within 7 days of purchase if no credits from that purchase have been spent. Non-refundable once credits have been used for name generation, deep-checks, or reports, as these actions constitute irreversible delivery of the proprietary digital service.
How to cancel: App → Billing → Manage Plan → Cancel subscription. You'll receive an in-app notice and an email confirming the exact date your access ends.
Refund processing: Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Paddle and typically appear within 5–10 business days. We email a confirmation with the reference number as soon as the refund is issued.
